AMN Honorary President Tetsuo Kanno becomes Vice President of WFNS
Tetsuo Kanno, Professor and Chairman, Department of Neurosurgery
Head, Emergency Center, Fujita Health University (Japan) has been determined as a vice president (continental) of the World Federation of Neurological Societes (WFNS) from 2005 to 2009. Kanno has been also elected president of the Asian Australian Neurosurgical Society. The World AMN congratulates Prof. Kanno, AMN founding member and AMN honorary president, a prestigeous scientist caracterized by his outstanding personality, his enormous contributions to the neurosurgery in Asia, Australasian and the western World as well as his leadership in neuroscience, education, and teaching.

The 9th EMN Congress in Romania
Accident prevention and social costs of brain and spinal cord trauma, multidisciplinary approach of traffic accidents, neuropsychological sequelae, recent results in experimental T.B.I. and S.C.I and neuroprotection, as well as ethical issues on brain death and donors possibilities were the main topics of the 9th Congress of the European Academy for Multidisciplinary Neurotraumatology (EMN) in Bucharest/Romania, May 19-22, 2004. Congress president Prof. Alexandru Ciurea (2nd from left) met EMN and AMN founding president Prof. Klaus von Wild (1st from left), AMN founding member Dr. Monika von Wild and Prof. Theodor Stamate , chairman of the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Clinic, Emergency Clinic Hospital, Romania. Prof. Stamate was admited as new EMN member as plastic reconstructiv surgeon.
