We are very proud that Horst Dieter Buerkle - founding member and honorary advisor as well as chief designer of Cerbprotect and the EMN (European Academy for Multidisciplinary Neurotraumatology) - received from the hand of the Darmstadt mayor, Peter Benz, the honour medal of the city of Darmstadt for his merits to the cultural life in this German city. The film pioneer Buerkle cared for the Foyer-Gallery since 1993 and is member and acting executive committee speaker of the
Darmstädter Sezession since 1995. We congratulate Horst Dieter Bürkle, who also designed the logo of the World AMN (Academy for Multidisciplinary Neurotramotology).
Darmstadt calls itself a city in which the arts are alive. It has been a home for the avant-garde since the beginning of the 20th century. Jugendstil art in the
Mathildenhöhe (Mathilde Heights) artists' colony was a centre of reform movements in Germany around the turn of the 19th to the 20th century, followed by further development of the
Bauhaus design concepts. New sciences, new literature, new music, new theatre. Darmstadt has always opened itself to the spirit of the future. In Darmstadt the arts are alive!
